Criteria

1. Operations are carried out with limited assistance.
2. Display and selection from menus is accurate.
3. Loading and saving of an existing file is efficient and effective.

 

Evidence Requirements

Performance evidence that the candidate can carry out the following basic operations;

1. Display menu
2. Select from menu
3. Load file
4. Save file

                                 Outcome 2

 

                     Perform simple processes using an application package.

 

Criteria

1. Processing of familiar data is carried out effectively.
2. Processes are carried out with limited assistance.
3. Data is output accurately in a given format.

 

Evidence Requirements:

Performance evidence that the candidate can perform the following simple processes on familiar data using at least one application package.

1. Enter
2. Edit
3. Delete
4. Output

Assessment

                                 Outcome 3

 

                    Extract and present information from an electronic source.

 

Criteria

1. Data is correctly extracted using a single selection criterion.
2. Information is presented effectively.

 

Evidence Requirements

Performance evidence that the candidate can extract and present simple, familiar data.

Minimum

Access 2 Workbook (Complete for at least 3 types of application software *).

Assessment for 1 type of application software to assess Outcome 1 and Outcome 2.

*This can be reduced in the case where a young person will not attend education for a period of time sufficient enough to complete for 3 application packages.

 

Extra

Play online games to improve co-ordination.

Research own topic of interest.

Create very basic PowerPoint Presentation with plenty of assistance.
